What is MFFFS?
MFFFS stands for Marvy Finger Family Foundation Scholarship. It is now known as MF3 - Scholarship. The Marvy Finger Family Foundation Scholarship is an opportunity for graduating seniors in the Greater Houston Area who are interested in a career and technical education pathway to obtain a certification or associates degree debt free. The scholarship covers the cost of a recipient’s tuition, fees, books, and program equipment for two academic years at Houston City College and San Jacinto College.

If I receive the Marvy Finger Family Foundation Scholarship which schools can I attend?
Scholarship recipients may choose to enroll in one of two community college programs that include Houston City College and San Jacinto College.

How may the scholarship funds be used?
Scholarship funds may be used for required educational expenses. And all monies will be sent directly to the student’s college account.

What is not covered by the Marvy Finger Family Foundation Scholarship?
The scholarship does NOT cover transportation to and from school, food cost or housing. However, you will receive a METRO bus fare card at a reduced rate.

When can I apply for this scholarship?
Graduating Seniors can apply and submit applications online starting January 1 each calendar year. Deadline will be the first Friday in March by the end of the business day at 4:00PM.

Who can apply?
High school graduating seniors in the ‘Greater Houston Area’.

What do I need to apply to the scholarship?
Students need to be currently in the 12th grade attending a high school in the Greater Houston Area, US Citizen or permanent resident, and have a 2.0 GPA.
